Hoping that a Crucible owner can answer a question -- How much height does the lid add on the 7 gallon? Total height is supposed to be 31 inches. My fermentation chamber is only 27 inches inside, so I'm hoping to swap for a flat lid to make it fit. TIA!

I'm trying to dismantle my four-faucet Glastender T-tower to refinish the brass, but I've hit a snag. The shanks are stuck in the aluminum glycol cooling block. They appear to be plated brass, so it may be dissimilar metal corrosion. Dunno. Any experience? Random thoughts? Thanks for the help!
