I've updated a drawing with a 2nd rev of the system, added some functionality including a 2nd temp controller just for monitoring (sight glass vs pump inlet probes), and moved the contactors before the ssrs.

Looking for input on my wiring diagram. I'm going to be using an EZboil PID to control 2x 5500w elements for 15-20 gallon biab batches. The sight glass level sensor is intended to drop out both element contractors to prevent dry firing.

I actually keep my HLT temp to 165 and have a recirc bypass set of valves (one N/O, one N/C). When call for heat is initiated, the valves cycle opening the N/C valve and allowing wort to flow into the coil, when heat isn't required it bypasses the coil altogether and goes straight back to the MT.

I also saw this article and wondered if astringency will be imparted in the wort. Any thoughts on how saccharification still takes place? (Cavitation effectively flashes the wort well above mash-out temps)
