What do I brew for my girl?

In general she’s not much into craft beer and can’t even smell a good IPA without turning her up her nose…. She likes the commercial lights, Coors and Mich Ultra. What can I make for this woman?…. Nothing is an option, but I hate to see my keezer space being taken up by a commercial...

    Draftec Blue Tint on Lines

Cleaned my lines with Blue Draftec Beer Line cleaner and after rinsing… the lines have light blue tint. I rinsed with water through the faucet until the water was clear and after it was clear ran another gallon of water through the lines. Is this blue tint normal?

Using Only One Tap on Three Tap Tower

Just purchased a three tap keezer and I‘m getting ready to replace the beer lines and provide a thorough cleaning. Initially, I’m only going to add one keg and plans are to update the beer lines on just the one tap. As I’m new to this I just wanted to confirm: Any issues or concerns in using...

    Should This Be Bottled?

I finished fermenting 5 gallons 6-7 weeks ago and have been so busy I have not been able to bottle the beer. This afternoon I removed the fermenter lid to add my priming sugar and found the surface is covered in a thick substance. Seems clear that I waited too long and now the beer has...

    1st Attempt - Any Suggestions?

Two weeks ago I completed my first BIAB batch - brewed Biermunchers Centennial Blonde and utilized Brewers Friend to assist with the brew. I hit the SG on the nose, however I was short on final product by .25 gallons (ended with 5.25 gallons versus 5.5) If I had hit my ending volume at the...

Brewers Best Milk Stout Brew Day Question

I picked up a Brewers Best Milk Stout Extract Kit and the directions seem a bit unclear so I’m hoping someone can confirm. I’ve attached the instructions link for reference. I have two questions: 1.) when do I add the bag of crushed chocolate wheat malt? The directions speak to adding the...

    Clarification: Secondary Hop Additions

Brewed our second batch of beer over Labor Day, the Northern Brewer Ace of Spades IPA. The recipe calls for hop additions in the secondary stage, which I've embedded into this post. Since this is my first go round with secondary hop additions I wanted to make sure I understood this process. I...

My First Batch Is Now In The Fermenter!

Brewed my first batch of beer yesterday - a Brewers Best Kolsch Kit (5 gallon). Extra special as my 25 year old was in town and like me, he was really into it - can't wait to deliver him a couple of cases of Kolsch (he lives 3 hours away). I think it went pretty well overall, we boiled 5.5...
