    What is wrong with these hops?

    I have three year old Cascade and Chinook that have produced awesome results in the past. This year arent looking so good? Had aphids early but sprayed and got rid of those. Then grew to the top of trails. Now this issue? Not sure what is going on? My Nuggets are going awesome?

    Anyone have issues with the mash temp going up 3°F? Brewing now and my first step mash is 148°F and every few minutes it will start to climb and reach 151°F. It will go back down a few minutes later. Any reason for that? Is there a setting to keep the power lower when the element needs to fire...

    I add 2oz of citra to each carboy 5-7 days before kegging to my IPA's. I also like Citrus IPA's! I've also used 1oz citra and 1oz mosaic to each carboy.

    Thanks. Update, upon closer inspection I found some weird weed attached to the bines and growing up giving off these seed pods. Morale of this is keep up with your weeding! Especially need the base.:mug:

    No acid in starsan! It is safe to drink. There for should safe to handle. PBW is a different story.
