    Too hammered to rinse bottles

Lol. Several, several Ferocious bombers amongst others are telling me to worry about it tomorrow. I think I will.

    Too hammered to rinse bottles

I'm kinda anal about rinsing bottles of homebrew out after finishing right away. I got pretty buttered up and they are piling up and I'm not rinsing them immediately. Ever been there? Don't judge, it's a simple yes or no question. Haha.

    Too much priming sugar?

I appreciate the advice. I'll go ahead and roll with it. Hopefully it won't turn out stupid carbonated.

    Too much priming sugar?

I brewed Midwest's Ferocious IPA extract kit, and when bottling I used the 5 oz of priming sugar per the directions. I'm slightly concerned because with all the hop sludge and yeast I only got a little less than four gallons of beer. Should I be concerned about bottle bombs? Beer has been...

    Smack Pack question

I'm brand new to home brewing and I have not made a yeast starter yet. The Grand Cru kit came with some DME. Can I rob some of what came with the kit to make a starter? I don't have any extra, just what came with the kit. If I do rob some to make a starter will it change the...

    Smack Pack question

I am planning on using a Wyeast 3944 smack pack for Midwest's Grand Cru extract kit. The box gives a projected OG of 1.063. Is one 4.25 oz smack pack enough. The smack pack is a yeast option that can be selected with the kit, but Wyeast's site recommends up to three smack packs for high...

    Midwest Grand Cru Extract kit

    Midwest Grand Cru Extract kit

This is going to be my next extract brew. Is this a beer that benefits from being racked to a secondary, or should I just keep it in a primary? Anyone brewed this kit? Opinions?

Sanitizing in non food-grade plastic bucket

Competely new to brewing, three extract brews done so far. I just thought about the fact that I have been mixing my star-san in a non food grade plastic bucket. I purchased it new, but it is essentially a small mop bucket. I have used this mixture to sanitize all brewing equipment...

    Destihl wild sour gose!!

Picked up a four pack of 12 oz cans of this stuff. This is the first sour beer I've tried. Took about four or five sips and poured it. All I got was vinegar and bread. Vinegar was way overpowering for me. I'll probably end up marinating chops with the other three cans. I love all...

    Honey Porter tastes watery?

This is my first attempt at home brewing. I've got a honey porter extract kit from Midwest in the primary. Its been in a week today. Took a hydrometer reading today and it was roughly 1.018. SG was 1.055. The brew tasted thin, watery, and highly alcoholic. It was slightly carbonated...
