    Thank you all so much for the reassurances and replies! I asked about a lager lover's recipe because most everyone I know that is excited to try my creations drinks lager, and I am affraid they may not appreciate my beers. As far as things I am interested in making... I think I am already hooked...

    Yes five gallons in a five gallon carboy. my brew partner set it up with a tube and the airlock...I know the fermentation is going all crazy because of the dark brown sugar i used. I just worry about the beer that is now in the airlock...
