    I just let the O2 run until the foam hit the top of the fermenter, like the directions indicated. It was like a volcano coming out of the carboy. I'll look into blowoff tubes, Thanks.

    Is there such a thing as over-oxygenating the wort? I bought the "oxynater" and have been aerating with pure oxygen and since I have krausen coming through the airlocks and blowing tops off my carboys along with very aggressive fermentation. Is this common?

    Positive about the Pilsner, aerrated very well. I pitched at least 6 hours after refigeration.

    I used whitelabs liquid, no starter, the pitch temp was low 70ish. Can't remember the strain.

    Yes the seal is good. I slightly press the plastic cover to check the pressure and it seems right. The environment is good too...I have wheat beer next to it that has been pushing out gas for 4 days solid.

    Is it possible to viably bottle and seal beer in canning jars...say 1qt size? They seem to seal well by hand. Thanks...

    Is it a common brewing practice to store wort provided it is in a sterile container and kept at room temperature for use later? Thanks..
