    A bit pooey!

    It smells right - but look at that brown stuff! Never had that before, and it's just a kit of 'geordie lager'. 'You can trust a geordie pint' - it said on the tin. But can I ? ;) I have a feeling the extra sugar I took out of the sugar bowl might have infected it :( Any ideas?

    What should it taste like?

    I've got a youngs cabernet kit. I've just done the stabiliser & finings doo-dah tonight, so had a taste from the trial jar (it read .997...i think) It tasted like a weak vodka & fruit juice?! I know it's early on, I'll probs give it another week until I bottle. Is that right? I'm also...

    To dry, or not to dry?

    Is it really that important to dry your bottles off after sanitising? Last brew I made (my first!:ban:) I just rinsed them a few times and everything tasted good. I'd do it if it wasn't such a hassle :P Am I missing something here? Cheers!
