    Mason jars for soda?

Going to brew some passion fruit soda today with my buddy who doesn't drink beer. I've got everything I need to head to his house and make this stuff, except bottles. I have some flip tops and a few beer bottles, but we can't be going to work with beer bottles, regardless if it's soda or not...

    Fruit Beer Wild Strawberry Blonde

Og-1.050, fg-1.014. It fermented 3 weeks in primary. That was the day I racked it onto strawberries, so it got a little more pale. Tasted ok, a little bitter. I even showed this to my local brew shop that I ask all my questions and get all my ingredients. They said to rack it and wait and see...

Thoughts on this recipe? Sierra Nevada old chico

I like the idea of getting rid of the DME all together. So will 3.5# DME be 3.5# of 2-row?

Thoughts on this recipe? Sierra Nevada old chico

Good tip! I'll sub out the DME. I'm going with wyeast 1056- chico yeast on this brew. I've never actually had old chico, my brother is a big fan, its pretty rare to even see it in the bay area. From my understanding, its a unfiltered wheat with ale yeast.

Thoughts on this recipe? Sierra Nevada old chico

This is only 1 of 4 beers I'm brewing, all of which none are tried and true brews. I really haven't had a brew I haven't liked. The recipe above is everything I can find in other recipes and what Sierra Nevada has to offer. Regardless, I'm going to brew the beer, I was asking if anyone would...

Today I cracked open my first brews. One batch was a hefe and one batch was a blackberry kolsch. I'm not going to lie, the kolsch was my first brew I've ever done and I tweaked it every way I could. I added orange juice and zest of orange and lemon to the boil as well as blackberries to the...
