Easiest way to increase ABV in Brewer's Best Kit?

All, Thanks for the advice it sounds like I need to scratch the kit all together. What I am looking for is a beer that is going to be liked by a mixed crowd since I will be sharing most of it. I love IPAs but a lot of people don't. What is a good recipe for a flavorful beer at about 7% to 8%...

Easiest way to increase ABV in Brewer's Best Kit?

I am not talking about a particular kit just generally speaking. Is it as simple as just adding sugar or is it more complicated than that? If the kit says: 4%-5% ABV how do you get it to 7%-8% ABV?

What is the cheapest possible wine or beer you could make that is also drinkable?

Apparently sugar, yeast and water is called "Kilju" or "sugar wine." The Finnish make it lol. Has anyone tried this I guess the only flavor you'd get is from whatever type of yeast you use?

Enjoy drinking but doesn't have to be great. Mediocre will suffice.

    Lactose in mead?

It should work but can't really tell you what it will taste like. It will also be hard to ever get a lot of clarity but you probably knew that going in.

    What are you drinking now?

Trying out mead for the first time but I always have a lot of homebrew IPAs.

How many brews have you dumped??

Yes, I had a batch of sake that was undrinkable. It had a sour milk smell and even taste to it. Not sure what I did wrong because I followed the instructions carefully. Probably won't try that again. Beer wise no all of my beer batches even my first have been at minimum drinkable.

What is the cheapest possible wine or beer you could make that is also drinkable?

I had a friend ask me the other day what is technically the cheapest way to make alcohol that is also drinkable. The things I thought of were inmate brew (welches, champagne yeast and nutrient) or possibly sake but I wanted to see what you guys thought was the cheapest alcohol you could make...

Belgian Dark Strong Ale Easy Chimay Blue clone

Maybe I just didn't dislike the bitterness but I finished this recipe in 6 weeks and was pleased with the results. I did 2 weeks primary, 2 weeks secondary and 2 for priming. I see what people are saying about the harshness of the ABV flavor it is definitely there but I don't really think it...

    Beer Brewer Seeking Wine Advice

All, Thanks for the advice. It sounds like wine making is not for me due to the wait time. I am used to making beer and I think that takes long enough personally but as with everything to each is own. It sounds like I need to try the mist kits or just an apple cider. I am thinking about...

    Beer Brewer Seeking Wine Advice

All, The girls in the family want me to make a wine (red or white works) but I don't want to have to age it for 3-4 months or even longer which most kits call for. Is there a specific grape or even wine kit that is ready to go right after secondary fermentation or in other words does not need...
