    First kegging!

Kegging and wort chillers are the two things that will keep people in the hobby. Both don't come until later when some have already decided it is a PITA.

    Most expensive CO2 refill ever

CO2 is not a "hazardous" gas. You should file a complaint with the owner and NEVER shop there again. $14 for me for 5lbs.

How many times can you reuse bottles?

You can reuse them until your lips wear down the opening.

    Carbonation drops?

Not really, you will stir up the trub and get a bunch of crap in your beer. Just get a bottling bucket. It makes life so much simpler!

    Carbonation drops?

Is there a specific reason you are not using priming sugar mixed in just before bottling? 1/2 a cup per 5 gallons I think. I use the carb drops once in awhile but that is only because I keg 98% of my beer but occasionally want a 6 pack or so from a batch. BTW: Your beer should take about 3...

Just kegged my first APA - HELP!!!

10-12 psi is about right for serving pressure on an APA. What you did is no big deal BTW you should just ignore that you added the priming sugar and force carb. The priming sugar will just increase the alcohol a bit. You can carb it in a few hours if you need to with 30 PSI and shaking the keg...

Found These @ A Cheap price

Grolsch are great! As is anything that comes commercially. Bottle-away!

Found These @ A Cheap price

Unless these are specifically made to hold pressure, this is not a good idea. Just putting some pressure on it is not enough. If you cannot find out from the maker, do not use them.

    1st bottling.

Yes - that is how you bottle.

    Keg to Growler?

I freeze the growler for an hour, fill it as far as I can from the tap until the foam is at the top, then fill a glass, then spoon the foam off the growler and continue to add from the glass until it is full. Takes about 10 minutes to totally fill it. I have the flippy style growlers which I...

accounting for sugars in rum at bottling

I don't believe there is any fermentable sugar in Rum or any spirits.

How to carbonate beer that doesn't have yeast

Looks to me like it is time for you to upgrade to a kegerator. :rockin: Oh - and "do it for the children!"

Wee Heavy Tastes Like Solvent, Now What

Scotch Ale yeast is tough. The only batch I ever gave away in its entirety was a Scotch Ale. Too bad you can't distill it.

    Will this work?

If that's what it takes to make you sleep better at night, knock yourself out! Personally I cannot fathom a bigger waste of time and resources.

    Drilling problems through pot

Perhaps a .223? Just do it from a distance. Put the pot at an angle, aim inside the pot.

    Drilling problems through pot

Sounds like trying to drill titanium. Cost me almost a hole set of bits. I was using cheap bits I was told at that time. Maybe get a better bit?

Refilling CO2 Tanks with Dry Ice?

+1 to the replies that say this is dumb as ****. I can't imagine doing anything as dumb as this for any reason. Sounds like a good recipe for a Darwin award.

    purchasing corny kegs

I would say those are dangerous to use. I very seriously doubt they are good to the rated psi anymore (150?). Also it looks like the patch is rusting. Did they weld with SS or regular steel? You need to get replacements for those! Never should have been sent to anyone. My guess is they will give...

    dirty, dirty, dirty...... yiikes....

You are spot on accept I think this is almost exclusive to the Internet. The people I meet in person are as polite as ever. The anonymity of the Internet brings this out of people. Some people are quite narcissistic and Sociopaths and the anonymous nature of the Internet really amplifies these...

    dirty, dirty, dirty...... yiikes....

Excellent way to take something out of context to make a (very) weak point. I suggest anger management. You'd be surprised how much better your outlook on life is when you are not angry most the time. Also not sure why some would consider this post trolling. There have been a few posts on...
