    RAPT Pill wireless charger compatibility

By barebones I meant the barebones wireless charger kit. It's just the charging coil/usb plug, and new weights. The full kit is the same thing, plus the actual charging dock. I may have a dud for the actual coil.

    RAPT Pill wireless charger compatibility

I bought myself a 2nd RAPT Pill floating hydrometer. I also ordered a wireless charger kit with it so I won't need to keep taking it apart. However since i have lots of wireless charging pads around the house, I just ordered the barebones kit, which is the coil/usb cord, and weights. Barebones...

    Steam collection question

My condenser is a liebig, if I use that, it would have to go up about 2ft, then make a 120 degree angle, and reduce down to 1". So I'm pretty sure I'd have some steam recondensing on the way up, and dripping back down. And yea thats why I've never used my condenser for brewing, or had the lid on...

    Steam collection question

My concern with most ducting is that invariably some steam is going to condense on the walls of it, and could drip back in. So It needs to be food grade. For the condenser, it's got an inner copper pipe, jacketed in another copper pipe, with cooling water running between. As mentioned above...

    Steam collection question

Hi all, I currently brew in my greenhouse, as I have 240v power there, and it's right beside my pool, which I use for cooling water in my counterflow chiller after boil. As an added bonus, that's essentially "free" heat for the pool when brewing. This works great, but I'm in a cold area, and...

Gardening: My Tomatoe and Pepper Progress

Same here, my peppers have done almost nothing this year. I've only picked a couple jalapenos and a couple Cayenne. My reapers, scorpions, and ghost peppers stayed small 3 to 4-in plants for like 2 months after they were in the ground, only in late July do they start actually growing. We did...

Will my NEIPA still develop a haze?

I made a second batch of this, this time using the proper yeast and hops. I did switch the regular 2row out for Maris otter. It turned out really well, this one that haze is staying strong, where as the last one it did drop out once it was in the kegerator.

Cream Ale Cream of Three Crops (Cream Ale)

So this was incredibly popular at the family event. I've never had so many people come up to me and tell me how awesome a beer I made was. This was mostly a 60 plus crowd, and it fit their style preference perfectly. They went through almost 5 gallons of it, which in retrospect is pretty good...

Will my NEIPA still develop a haze?

Oops, I forgot to mention I used S-04 yeast, as I couldn't get the 1318. We'll see how it turns out. Already up to about 3% alcohol.

FREE TEST for INKBIRD CO2 Detector

First 5G Wifi Meat Thermometer on Market

I love that one, I use the wifi all the time. I can be at work or out shopping and keeping an eye on the meat temps. I sometimes have the whole bradley smoker on a smart outlet too, so once I hit my target temps I can remotely turn off the heat portion of the smoker.

Cream Ale Cream of Three Crops (Cream Ale)

I've been brewing this every summer now for all my friends/family who like lighter summertime beers, it's always popular. Just kegged a 10 gallon batch a few days ago. This is a special one, for an aunt/uncle who are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. The husband likes Corona, bud...

Will my NEIPA still develop a haze?

After many dozens of batches of IPA's, stouts, red's, etc, I decided to try an NEIPA. I'm all setup for this type of beer as I have fermzillas for fermenting under pressure and dry hopping, I do closed transfers to purged kegs, so oxidization isn't an issue. Anyway, yesterday I brewed this one...

Gardening: My Tomatoe and Pepper Progress

My plants have all been pulled since early November. But my greenhouse plants are still producing. I keep it at 15C so far. It's built against the house and has a basement window open to it with a fan to pull in warm house air. It also has an electric space heater on an inkbird. I probably won't...

    Whirlpool while chilling?

/Hi all, I normally use a hop spider but have been reading how it can affect flavour, and it would be nice to be able to skip that step if possible. My normal setup: Electric 16 gal kettle (doing 5 gallon batches) homemade counterflow chiller (1/4"or 3/8" copper, 25 feet) stainless pump. A...

    Power issues with RAPT Pill?

Not sure Mike, I hadn't removed the battery since originally installing it. They might have just been a bit weak (too compressed) from the factory, so over time, they lost contact.

    Power issues with RAPT Pill?

Never mind, I removed the battery, and bent the contact pins out on the battery holder, and now it's fine. Must have just been a poor connection there.

    Power issues with RAPT Pill?

I bought a Kegland RAPT Pill (floating Wifi hydrometer like Tilt) in February and used it a few times, I really like it. However on my last brew, it never reported in. After the batch was complete, I removed it and plugged it into USB. The battery level was reported at 100%, and connected to...

    Show us your Kegerator

I've posted my kegerator on here before, but I've now setup a portable version (jockey box I guess) for taking to people's houses. I can fit two of these 5L mini kegs, plus a 5lb co2 tank inside. Just setup the first tap so far. Will be using it this weekend while bbq'ing out in a field with...
