I am sellling my all grain home brewing equipment. Kegco Stainless CFC

Thanks. We probably missed it because it was started after I started the thread.

    Chapman MLT

I am currently upgrading from a single infusion mash to a HERMs. In the past I would just recirculate a few minutes at the end of the mash to vorlauf before I pump the wort to the brew kettle (I am sure I would lose a few degrees doing this, but at that point I was ok with it). The recirc...

    Chapman MLT

I have a 15 gallon. I use the upper port for recirculating. I don’t have any pics, sorry my gear is buried away in the garage. I just use a silicone hose on the inside that I lay beneath my floating mash cap (stainless cake pan). I do no-sparge. This works well for me, although I think I...

new eBrewing setup, eBIAB or eHerms?

How long is your tube? I am debating between doing something like this, a kegco SS CFC or holding out for the Stout. Whatever I get I also plan to use it as a HERMs HEX.

    Kegco Stainless CFC

Thanks. Glad to hear you still have good efficiency. My only “concern” was the short length of the tube. I have also removed copper.

    Kegco Stainless CFC

Is anyone using Kegco’s stainless CFC? There are a couple reviews on Amazon, I am wondering if anyone has any more. I am looking to switch switch from a SS immersion chiller to a SS counterflow. I am debating between the Kegco, holding out for the Stout or spending the time to make my own.

    Auber Instruments CUBE - Review

    Stainless Steel Mash Tun Questions

I have a Chapman 15 gallon mash tun. I like it a lot. I lose about 2 degrees over an hour. I just do infusion mashes, if I did step mashes it is probably overkill.

What beers or breweries influence your brewing?

I mostly brew IPAs, I love them all so not necessarily inspired by any particular brewery. However my favorite brewery is Anchorage Brewing, a great producer of brett beers, a leftover from when my wife and I lived in Alaska. When I brew with brett, I am always inspired by their offerings...

    Hopstand during the boil?

I vote give it a shot and let us know it works out. That's the great thing about brewing at home for a hobby.

The OFFICIAL Low Oxygen Brewing Thread, AKA lodo, lowdo, LOB

I have also been working my way into low oxygen. I am almost all stainless steel now, I still use silicon tubing. I first came across the concept several months ago during some down time on an Uncle Sam funded "vacation". I'll admit, at first I was skeptical (to say it politely). However I...

    Omega C2C American Farmhouse

Reviving an older thread. Anyone have any additional reviews for this yeast? I am trying to squeeze in one last brew before the MN winter catches me ( still early I know but I have limited time in the next couple months). I plan to put the keg in the corner of the basement and forget about...

Best Mosaic:Citra ratio for balanced flavour?

I forgot to say that I personally find Mosaic to be more dominate.

Best Mosaic:Citra ratio for balanced flavour?

I have found in the past when I used 1:1, Mosaic overrode then other hops, including Citra. When I use Mosiac now, I tend to go lower on the ratio. But it is all personal taste. I think this would make a great beer, it just depends on what you are trying to do.

    Chapman ThermoBarrel Mash Tun

I bought a 15 gallon mash tun earlier this year. It has worked great for me so far. As mentioned above, mine loses about 2 degrees in a 60 minute mash. I moved to no-sparge brewing with it (my old mash tun wasn't big enough). I didn't order a false bottom or thermometer, but it was thrown...
