    Grainfather!!

I bought mine from GF direct. Having said that, they were not available from 3rd parties at the time, and if they had been, i would have gotten mine from AIH or some similar site that offers some sort of rewards. I dont even know how much i would actually care about warranty. At this point...

    6-8 tap kegerator/keezer $400 MINNEAPOLIS

6 full tap lines. 2 lines missing faucet and liquid line( shank and gas lines are there). Its BIG. big enough to hold 8 kegs. Plus another 1 or 2 for lagering. 5lb co2 tank and regulator included. I built a rolling cart for this as well, and it will be included. Let me know if you have any...

i have no idea, but let us know when you find out. I would like to replace my valve with one that has a longer handle.

    Grainfather!!

meh. if that's the case, I will stick with ss brewtech chronicals. i dont like how it would be hard to replace certain parts as they die in the GF conical. I am also not a fan of how close to the ground the valves are. If they end up in the same price point, I think they are going to have a...

    Grainfather!!

dont know what to tell ya. almost every single manufactured product leaves a warehouse with at least one defective item. had to be someone, it just sucks when its yourself. The company, however is great at making thing right. If its a piece you cant get from where you originally purchased it...

    Grainfather!!

while I can't help with the question at hand, I will say that I never rely on the GF app or website for accurate calculations in recipe building for abv, ibu, etc. They have always had different numbers than what I had figured through other calculations, and hardly ever match my actual results...

    Grainfather!!

update: used the mesh again this week and added a 10" domed false bottom . this seemed to work a lot better, and I had no problems with stuck sparge, and have close to no grain at all in my wort. anything that was there i assume probably went down the overflow

    Grainfather!!

funny you should mention this... I just used mine for the first time last weekend, and also had a pretty bad stuck sparge. I was using about 30% rye which was milled finer than the rest, and this may have caused it, but I dont know if I am going back to using the extra screen. The miniscule...

    Grainfather!!

brewed with mine for the first time this weekend. Initial thoughts: 1. so glad I dont have to babysit the brew when heating to strike and mash out. 2. The mash temp overshot by a couple of degrees during the mash 3. the box seems to retain ALOT less heat the first, due to the vents. 4. Also...

    Grainfather!!

I bought one because the outlet on my original controller that the heating elements plug in to wore out and now won't keep the plug in place, rendering it useless. I was also tired of having to stare at the the controller when ramping the temp up. I have overshot my temps a couple of times due...

if you dont mind my asking, what did you use to cut the inner circle out? I was thinking a jewelry cutter, but dont know if the mesh is too hard.
