    I read all the posts and nobody mentionned fermentation temperature or sunlight. are your bottles exposed to sun when carbing up ? was your primary in an overly-hot location ?

    thanks for the responses. from what i understand, if i choose to use a secondary, it would be best to add it at that point as it might loose some flavors to the primary fermentation process. i also like the idea of letting it soak in vodka (or gin he he) which should also add a special aroma...

    thanks guys.. i'm gonna give it a try and keep you posted. i like the 1L bottle idea better as the portion size is more convinient.

    Does everyone let the krauston layer completely drop before bottling?

    would it be more common for Cream ales to have krausen retention in the carboys ? i'm new to brewing and trying to make sure i start off on the right foot. thanks for your help

    Do we need carbonator caps or do the regular one's work also ? thanks and by regular caps, i mean the one that comes already with the 2L bottles.
