    thats what ive been reading, but what if you started with 1 gallon or 5 gallons of coffee before the boil?

    I was looking around a bit and not able to find an answer to my question...is it ill advised to brew beer with coffee instead of water? I understand that the acidity of the coffee with affect head retention of the final product, but any other negatives to the ACTUAL BEER? I can not be the first...
