I hate to say.... I never aged it past 2 months. It didnt last long enough. I know that the last bottles were much better tasting then the first. I would guess 3 to 6 months?

I know. Should have measured. I can get a measurement to night and post where it currently is if you think that would help? It is still very much active.... I am thinking I will rack it again to night to get more of the sediment off the bottom.

Right now it is burping like 3 times per second. It is still going good....and we are going into week 3. Not sure about this one.

I do. I just didn't take any readings for what ever reason. I don't have a starting SG.

Melons are hard to do :( You dont see many Watermelon wines for sale in the store. If this is your first wine....I would recommend you do like a Welch's Grape to start out with..... I fear if you try Watermelon on your first go it may turn you off from a fun hobby.

How you able to buy sugar for? I found a place I can buy it in bulk. $23/50lb bag. Comes to .46 per pound.

Think I can sub out the Sparkolloid for Bentonite? I have no Sparkolloid but plenty of Bentonite. Summer is coming... time to make the hard lemon aid.

Ok so my buddy has a LOT of Mulberry trees around his house. He said come an get all I want when they are ready. I figured I would go for enough to do 6gal of wine. I have heard that there are worms in Mulberries. BUT then I found this post.... and.... well it kind of makes sense to me...

About when would you add the Bentonite?

I know wine will only take so much tannin. I have 6g of strawberry going. I put 1tbl spoon of Tannin in it. Should have been 1/2tbl spoon. Any guess on the result of this? I know the win looks a bit on the brown side. Figure most of that will drop out later?

How many lbs of of Mulberries per Gallon do you think?

As far as I know the yeast only needs 02..not air contact. So as long as you aerate it often enough not to stress out the yeast I think you would be fine. Would seem like less of a chance to get a baddie in there before your alcohol levle gets up enough to help protect its self some..... I...
