    our brewing session has been moved up to tonight. i had planned on making a starter, however the instruction say the starter should ferment for 12 hours prior to pitching. i just smacked the pack a few minutes ago and need to let that swell for a bit. the question is that if i do make a starter...

    my first blow off, and other stuff

    brewed our first set of 'big beers' yesterday. my brew was morebeer.com's imperial porter kit. according to the instructions this beer should finish around 13.5%. everything went well, pitched our rehydrated yeast at 70 degrees and low and behold this morning things were going quite well, so...
