    American Pale Ale Cascades / Orange Pale Ale

    I was thinking of brewing this recipe but adding some ahtanum hops late in the boil. I heard they have an orange flavor/aroma. (I've never used them before) Does this sound like a good idea?

    I made a few very minor tweaks to the label (added some depth). I also changed some printer settings and now it looks much better. I'll probably take it someplace that has a laser printer though. Thanks to you, and everyone else, for the suggestions.

    I removed some of the rivets and tweaked it a little more. Looks great on the screen, but when I print it out, it doesn't look like metal though. Unless I use glossy photo paper, which I don't want to do.

    I like the texture idea. I also tried a metal texture but I think it goes against my original idea of being a basic design. I'm not sure which way I want to go :confused:

    Here's my first label. It's almost done. But I think it needs a little something. I want to keep it basic so that all I have to do is change the (beer style) text at the bottom of the label when I bottle a different beer. Any ideas?

    Thanks for the replies. Based on what everyone is suggesting, I'll adjust the recipe. 1. Up the crystal to .75 or 1 lb. 2. Up the magnum (bittering) to 1 oz. 3. keep the honey the same 8 oz. The new calculations are: 6.18% ABV (about where I want it)...

    This is my first (semi) original IPA recipe. I've previously only done kits and a few simple recipes. It's based on a few different recipes I found on the web. Does this look O.K.? I wasn't sure about adding the crystal 40 and sugar or honey. 5 gallons 7lbs. extra light DME .5 lbs. crystal...
