@daphatgrant, nice job! I look forward to seeing pics. I agree it's really nice to have your shanks and all lines lift out of the way when you want to work on something! I have zero regrets about doing mine this way.

@daphatgrant, this plastic I found in the back of the store near doors. It was on an inconspicuous rack and they carried two sizes 36"x24" and 24"x18". This is what I bought.

I ended up getting them milled at the LHBS, brewed my Christmas Ale this past Sunday. Thanks for all the help yall!

I got a ton done this weekend! I installed the 2-way gas manifold and 3 bank secondaries. I used drywall screw in anchors to do so. They are holding like a champ. I installed the foam and corrugated backer this weekend, then put alum tape over it. Next I fitted the lid with collar to the...

I'll take pics of it this evening, but it will be very similar to this. Only I will be using alum. tape from the collar wood over the foam to the backer.

Tonight I got my shanks installed.

They are: 1 lb. Chocolate Malt, steeped at 150 degrees 30 mins. 1 lb. Crystal 40 Malt, steeped at 150 30 mins. This is an extract recipe and the grains are only for steeping.

Yep no mill as I have only done Kit's up until this point.
