    Thanks legume, Sadly i have only brewed this 1 beer which was an easy to use no boil kit. As im a beginner i wouldnt know the first thing about mashing.

    Bottling and cooling

    Hi my brew has been bottled for around a week now, can i put my bottles in the refrigerator to cool now for the remaining weeks or should i just leave them somewhere like the garage where its cool, but not cold?

    Did you use your own hops, how did this tirn out? Im up for trying any suggestion. What could i do with the hops instead of using the oil provided? With the oil provided if i remember i had to pour into fermenter immediately.

    Hi gameface, yes your correct i have been waiting for the beer to get the the yellow markings. I am happy to wait if need be if it doesnt harm the beer. Il check again tomorrow morning. So if the readings continue to show 1012 then u feel i should bottle?

    This is what it looks like at the moment. I have transfered from fermenting bucket to demi john as i thought i was only couple of days away. I dont have to bottle now just dont want it to go 'off' if i leave it. Im new to brewing so maybe im just jumping the gun.

    When to add beer finings

    Im looking to syphon my brew into another bucket within the next couple of days due to excess sediment. Gravity is currently on 1014. Do i add finings to the fermentation bucket on the bottling bucket once syphoned?

    Yes its made from sorgham extract. The yeast is prium dried brewing yeast.
