    Best/strangest munchie w beer?

As a pure snack food to go along, I have found shortbread cookies to be amazing with most ales...but best with a wheat beer. Have not tried with an IPA, but I don't see it being a good pair, though maybe the buttery flavor would enhance the hops? Have to give it a whirl...

Android phone stuck in boot mode

This happened to a friend of mine's phone, he put it in the freezer for about 10 minutes, sounds odd but it worked for him. He took it out and it booted up. Remember to take the battery out if you do it though...

    Your Celebrity Free Pass List

You had a great list. For mine, I pick Scarlet Johansson for number 1, 2, and 3.

Really considering moving to San Diego...

I did a Cali trip a couple years ago, slowly moving down the coast. Spent a couple days in San Diego (which, as everyone knows, means a whales vagina). I have to say, the things that stick out, and what I remember every time I hear the name now, is 1) the sheer amount of homosexuals (not that...

    First world problems

The grocery was out of my favorite bottled water today, forcing me to get another perfectly clean, pure, water that I do not enjoy as much :(

    Man's Greatest Invention

On an interesting side note, it is interesting that Native American Indians never realized the wheel until Europeans came to America.

    Man's Greatest Invention

The wheel I would argue as observation leading to invention. Wheels did not exist, rolling objects did. Bacon, I would give that yes it "existed" in nature, but I would also argue it as a manly invention. Domestication of hogs into a breed-able food source (pigs), and then the creation of...

    What do you ride??

Harley Softail Custom, quite modified though. Chopped out, tuned moter etc.

    Man's Greatest Invention

I would have to second this!

    Man's Greatest Invention

Well, what do you think it is? I would of course first say alcohol, but that is something that can occur naturally, indeed that is probably how it was first discovered. :mug:

    Sierra Nevada Flipside

Just picked up a sixer of this for the first time; have to say I really like it. It's a red IPA, and has a great hop aroma (Magnum bitter; Citra, Simcoe, and Centennial). Has a bit more malty sweetness than SN Torpedo that balances well with the hops. I wouldn't say I like it better than...

    Best Commercial Pumpkin Beer

I would have to say Southern Tier Pumking; as far as pumpkin beers go, this one is great. I personally don't like a beer that is just brewed with "pumpkin spice", this one doesn't have that fake spicy flavor to it, it has a very smooth pumpkin flavor, like fresh natural pumpkin.

Looks like an awesome set up, a bit much for where I am at now though I think. Thanks for the offer though man.

    Getting better

That's what I've read, is that proper fermentation temp control is probably the most drastic improvement for the new home brewer.

    Getting better

I just bottled my fourth batch of home brew, and if anything can be determined from tasting the wort at that time; I am very excited for this one. This site has been such a help, and after the initial beginner mistakes and looking here for answers each brew has been getting better. The one I...

Thanks, that explains things pretty well.

    Another Bottling Question...

I understand that the sealed bottle will hold in the carbonation, but what I have read is that before refrigeration the carbonation kind of sits on top in the head space and can rush out when opened, gushing etc. causing a flat beer; and that it takes 2-3 days in refrigeration for the...
