Recreating a second runnings ale from a partigyle

I recently brewed an imperial stout and a coconut session stout in a partigyle. I havent tasted the imperial stout yet, but the coconut stout is phenomenal. I would like some insight on how to re-brew the coconut stout by itself. My current logic is to take the compliment of my efficiency for...

DIPA Hop Schedule needed - (Comet/Galaxy)

Bitter with Apollo. Flavor with Apollo, Comet, Galaxy. Dry hop with Apollo, Comet, and LOTS of Galaxy. When I made this, I was feeling bold and made a Black IIPA with 3 lbs of huskless black malt. Half midnight wheat, half carafa lll. Some dark crystal too, 12 oz. It was amazing.

    Belgian Quad Recipe Help

It is pretty delicious, honestly. A few people think the rye is out of character for the style, but I enjoy it. Overall its got nice malt character, but its a tad sweet... If I brewed it again, I would cut the crystal back. I will have one this weekend and give a more detailed description haha.

    Russian imperial stout feedback

Caramel flavor is going to come from a medium Crystal Malt if you really want it in your beer. ~5% Crystal 60 is a good starting place.

Maple coffee stouts: Adjusting grain bill to balance coffee presence

I want to brew a well-balanced maple coffee stout. So I usually just wing it, but I thought this time I would ask others opinions since I can't make my mind up and thought someone else might benefit from the discussion as well. I have a tendency to be heavy handed with my roasted grains :rockin...

    Belgian Quad Recipe Help

Ok so if I drop a lb of pils for an extra pound of some light sugar and switch the carawheat for caramunich, my og is 1.093 with 20% sugar and 1-1.5 (5-7.5%) lbs crystal malts. Ill let the wallet decide about the sucrose later. Do you think anything less than 0.5 lbs special b will be...

    Belgian Quad Recipe Help

Thanks for the advice. So the carawheat (~50L) is in the place of typical caramunich as I only have access to caramunich I (~35L). I felt the latter was too light and the carawheat might be a better fit since classic interpretations generally include wheat anyway. Do you have any experience...

    Belgian Quad Recipe Help

Greetings All, I am currently smoothing out the details regarding an all-grain quad I plan on brewing in a few months when I can allocate the resources to do so (read: I'm broke as hell). Everything as far as hops, fermentation schedule, mash schedule is open for debate/suggestion. The mix...
