    co2 refill in Atlanta?

Old thread, but I work part-time at Hop City West Midtown and to buy a new full 5# tank it's $89.99, or exchange for $25.99. We can't refill because of silly Atlanta laws. No refills within city limits. Call on Saturday's we may be sold out.

I'd like to know about the cranberry and bottle carbing like @mcodville.

The 3-tier system is alive and well in GA.

Great way to explain the situation. I've been following this closely and have sent a few emails to my different reps. I didn't hear that the new bill that was sent back to the Senate from the House had been reduce even further. Sad to hear that. If anyone is familiar with the brewpub 5seasons...

    Freezing Yeast

One could also probably use breast milk tubes. They have a flat wider base and will stand on their own. They are also intended to be frozen. Like these: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0009XBX4K/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1422290329&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SY200_QL40&dpPl=1&dpID=313lrM9glnL&ref=plSrch

How to Start Experimenting With Your Beer and Get Quick Wins

I literally just realized today that I don't need a larger kettle (currently 7 gal) to do all-grain BIAB, I just need to scale down my recipes to 3 gal! Then I found this article in my inbox and knew it was meant to be! Thanks for the insight!

    Question about group buy concept

Yes that helps a ton. I also continued to look around on here and found the group buy section. I'll have to do more research on what I like by following a few recipes before landing on a base malt I like. I guess my question was super premature. On the other hand, my dad is from Pittsburgh and...

    Question about group buy concept

First, is this where they are organized or is that somewhere else in the forums? I'm not an all-grain brewer yet but I'm hoping that changes Christmas day. 😉 If I wanted to buy a large quantity of a type of grain how do I research which kind that is. They are called base malts right? My...

Cobb county brewer here, anyone else?

I'm inbetween Smyrna and Mableton near a covered bridge if anyone is familiar with that area. Another notable place is I'm about a half mile from the Silver Comet trail.

I REALLY dislike short neck bottles **Bottling Guru's Please Help!!**

This isn't good to read. I've been aging some homebrew in Sierra Nevada bottles. Guess I have an excuse to open them early now. Boo…hope I don't have to dump the whole six pack.

    Newbie Questions

I'm on my second 5 gal extract batch and I found that waiting an additional week after bottling, so 3 weeks, made the beer taste better. Not sure why. Maybe the yeast did some additional cleaning inside the bottle. That doesn't help with the head question, but the list of things to watch for...

Looking for 2 milk crates in Cobb county

Great ideas guys! The closet Tractor Supply to me in Dallas about 30 min away. I got one at Home Depot ($9) for now. Next is to ask the dairy guy at Kroger and see what he says. I also just learned from another thread on here that milk crates make great drying racks or right side up, a place...

    Blow-off clean up and sanitation

I knew it was a big beer and that's all I have for an airlock. Didn't have much headspace either so I added the tube as a backup. Glad I did. I do need to get a 3-piece so I don't have to Frankenstein it so much.

    Blow-off clean up and sanitation
