    I'm doing a 6 gal batch of dandelion. I have about 2-3 gals of frozen pedals. Would adding frozen wh. gr. conc. greatly affect the taste? I was thinking 5 or 6, 11.5 oz cans. Recipe: 6gals 3 gals dandelion pedals 6 cans wht. grp. conc. 1# chopped golden raisins 1# chopped raisins...

    how much oak

    I have 3 gals of black cherry wine aging. Its 13% abv. id like to oak a gal for the experience. i want to use amer. oak was thinking med toast. so...should i use: chips, cubes, spirals....and how much? I know i'll need to taste for taste (for lack of better words).

    I started a 1gal batch yesterday. my first attempt. my landlord give me a few pointers. i added raisins right from the get go. no campden. just boiling water. i plan on racking it and adding new raisins to help with the bitter as per advice.

    I know!!!! PATIENTS...PATIENTS....AND MORE PATIENTS!!! They say Jesus turned water into wine...and not just wine, GOOD wine!!! We have all this cool stuff to add to ours and we have to wait MONTHS!!! Its just not fair damn it!!!

    I got home from work and give it a good stir SG 1.012 my question is...it seems to have lost its momentum. do i/can i add more nutrients at this point. I'm in no hurry, just was wandering. what I'm trying to say is it stopped bubbling after i stirred it. should i break out the drill and mixer

    STUPID PHONE!!! The aroma the first day was pleasant. By this morning, not so much! Its turned into strawberry monkey butt! I know this will pass but it sure does smell!!! In just 48 hours its burned thru 54 points!!! I stirred and added 1 tsp SNAs. Still plugging along

    Stalled....added nutrients, 2 days later, nothing. made a starter by re-hydrating a pk of 71B then added it to 1/2 qt jar of must...let sit for 12 hrs then pitched. Its doing well...1 bubble every 4 or 5 secs. If my last reading of 1.045 was accurate, then at this pace, it'll run out of sugar...

    1 cup of sugar weighs 7.05oz...a pound is 2.695 cups. i got this info off the Domino Sugar sight.
