    Yakima Valley free shipping

I've bought a few times when I've been visiting a friend in DC. Usually from a place in Alexandria. Nice you can still get that price up that way. I'm down in Va Beach. Will buy from Final Gravity in Richmond when I'm up that way. But a long drive still just to go for that unless I can...

    Yakima Valley free shipping

Thats awesome if you can get a good deal on a sack locally. My LHBS only gives a .20 cent per pound discount buying in 50 pound bag. Still makes 2 Row $2.39 a pound there. YVH had a 10 pound bag for $11.99. Ordered six of those.

    Yakima Valley free shipping

Thanks I will check them out. I was mainly looking at bulk grain. Buying grain to ship is crazy expensive from what I've looked at in the past and their price is in most cases over a $1 cheaper per pound then my LHBS. But I was going to throw some hops in as well lol

    Yakima Valley free shipping

Just got an email from Yakima Valley for free shipping until Monday. Does anyone know how often they run this special? I want to stock up but if this is something they do every couple months then I will scale down my order. Prices at my LHBS are way higher on grain and hops.

    Oat Cream IPA help

I bought 1.5 pounds. Store put one pound in one bag a half a pound in the other. Of course on brew day, I only pulled the one pound bag out and completely forgot the other bag lol. But did not have one issue with just one pound of rice hulls. I think the malted oats helped with the flaked...

Sold Taprite 4 way Secondary Regulator

Taprite 4 way secondary regulator for sale. Never used. I did install it on the piece of wood and then never gor to use it in the refrigerator because it died. The next one I bought was only big enough for two kegs and Co2 bottle so no need for this one. Selling for $150 plus shipping if not...

    Oat Cream IPA help

Awesome, thanks. I thought about a touch of vanilla but figured I'd save that for batch 2 with changes I make. Didn't want the vanilla to cover up anything that wasn't right. Also after I posted that, I did scale back the other two hops and added a small amount of citra. Mainly in the...

    Help with water temps

I am about to brew my first batch just using my 10 gallon Spike kettles. I have always used coolers for my HLT and mash but I now have a brew stand. Can anyone help with how much I have to heat 6.7 gallons of water in HLT so when I add my grains, 15 pounds, to the mash tun the temp drops to...

    Oat Cream IPA help

Yeah that's the other thing I was curious about when putting this together. But I've already ordered all the grains so we will see what happens. If this turns out decent I may make it again without the wheat and see the difference. Always add carapils so it's just habit.

    Oat Cream IPA help

Sorry, nothing wrong in Beersmith. I was more saying I'm not sure about something. Mainly the amount of oats to 2 row. Obviously with price increases on ingredients this is not going to be a cheap beer to make. So I didn't want to mess it up if someone sees an issue with the grain bill or...

    Oat Cream IPA help

So I am wanting to make an Oat Cream IPA for my wife. She loves the Other Half ones shes had. I did some research and saw where one of the founders said they use up to 30% and more at times of oats in their mash. I started building a recipe in Beersmith and I do notice some things I'm not...
