Denver looking for Pliny the Elder?

Choice City Butcher & Deli, Cafe Vino, or The Mayor of Old Town would be your best bets for Pliny in town.

    These beers worth it....?

Left Hand's imperial porter, Smoke Jumper, is brewed every other year. It ages well and is another bomber worth every penny. Celestrina is the only Odell beer that I haven't been a fan of, too clove-y for me. Their Woodcut series that comes out every fall is amazing though. Sent from my...

NOOB wanting to do BIAB brewing Small Batches 2.5 gallon

    Questions about Stovetop ESB

I have an ESB that is about to be bottled, my first ESB may I add. I had 9% Crystal 30L and 3% Crystal 60L and the remaining was Marris Otter. I have poked around for ESB recipes and had read not to let Crystal be more than 15% of the total grist bill.

    Advice on flying with homebrew

+1 on the ziploc and bubble wrap. I bring back plenty of Pliny to Colorado from California and do that every time. Never had an issue.

    So who's brewing this weekend?

The hardest decision I'll make all week.. deciding between an ESB or a baltic porter to brew Saturday. Hmmm.

what's the downside to partial boil (biab)?

Another way to look at it: brewing 2.5 gallons can mean you get to brew twice as often as brewing 5 gallons since the beer will be gone twice as fast. Twice the brew sessions can lead to dialing in your equipment!

    AHA Website Down?

I just recently joined and was wondering the same thing. I called them last Friday asking about my card and it turns out the third party company that prints their membership cards went out of business in mid December, so they're in the process of finding a new company to print them. I was told...

Just got back from a day of snowshoeing, tired, sore but home brew in hand. I'll be sleeping well tonight!
