    Keg keeps on carbonating

I understood about half of what you said here. Any chance you got a link for some good references I can read up on?

    Keg keeps on carbonating

Hey everyone, I'm still relatively new to kegging and am having a small issue. My keg seems to keep rising in pressure even after locking the regulator. I usually cheat and put it on 15-20 psi for 3 days to carb fast, then slow it down to 10 or so. but even after purging the valve, it seems...

    Trub control/Conditioning Question

I've been waiting 14 days for fermentation before moving it to a keg. My gravity readings were always about where they were supposed to be so i never gave it much more thought. Is something happening in the beer after primary fermentation slows down that I should let happen in the bucket...

    Trub control/Conditioning Question

okay that's interesting because I always based it on the gravity. Once I hit my target I just dropped it into the keg...waiting the 3-6 days to carbo then tried it. Is 30 days generally recommended?

    Trub control/Conditioning Question

Hey everyone, So I've been brewing for a couple years now. Have gotten pretty comfortable with my all-grain process and have turned out some decent beers (I think). But I have always had this off taste in my beers. Something I don't taste in other beers. Its subtle, not necessarily bad, so...

    Brewery Concept - Homebrewer's Opinions

Thanks for all the feedback! I've posted this on a couple of forums and the responses have been pretty much the same. Not enough incentive for a home brewer to really facilitate the idea. I think something more like a true brew incubator (co-op brewery) is probably a more realistic project...

    Brewery Concept - Homebrewer's Opinions

Hey all, I am working on a business plan for a brewery concept. The idea is basically to have a brewery/bar that allows homebrewers to use our equipment to brew a keg of beer that is then sold at the attached bar. It allows the bar to have really unique and interesting beers for its consumers...

Smack packs...how many do I need?

My smack pack said 1 pack and no starter. Seems to work just fine.

    First brew - Assuming disaster

For what it's worth to those starting out I thought I would post a reply with my second batch so far. I filled the carboy up properly this time. To the point where it blew the airlock off, so had to switch to a blowoff tube for a while. But fermentation looks good, no off smells yet. Pretty sure...

    First brew - Assuming disaster

I'm picking up another quick batch of materials for another 1 gallon batch. Hopefully lessons learned can be applied.

    First brew - Assuming disaster

I did a little bit of reading on general trouble shooting for beer making from John Palmer's book and I think I had an infection of Aceto bacteria. I have the cidery smell, jelly strands, and lots of cloudiness. Important part is figuring out how it happened. I think there was some step I may...

    First brew - Assuming disaster

Hey everyone! Excited to be part of the community. I got my first brewing kit for Christmas (actually a while before Christmas) and I just bottled it. I have a couple questions I was hoping you guys could help me out with. 1. The beer is very very cloudy and smells almost like cider. Is that...
