That looks like my first Hefe, infected as hell. In other news my San Diego Super Yeast ate the hell out of any other mold spores that were in my fermentor. 3 weeks after I had scooped the moldy bits out, I had nothing but a clear top.

The San Diego just kicked up. Tmrw it should be in full burp. I removed all the mold from the top so hopefully none grew back in the lack of O2.

If it is going to be sour then I won't drink it.

I removed the mold, but should I let it keep going or chuck it?

Just opened the top to see why my San Diego SY hasn't started fornicating. Must not be a proper seal because I just found white fuzzy bits on top of the liquid. Pretty sure it is mold because one of the white spots had blue in it.

    Force carbonation with plastic.

I was joking.... messing with you. Take the joke.

    Force carbonation with plastic.

You made that up Rosenhops. I'll probably wait until the last 48 hours of bubble. This way I will keep pressure but it won't be extreme.

    Pumpkin Ale Won't Carb

These are the conditioning tablets. 3 is for light, 4 for medium, 5 for heavy carbonation. I've swirled the bottles around a lot when I recapped. I'll try setting them upside down for a few days that back upright. This thread should probably be a sticky for those making pumpkin ale. What to...

    Force carbonation with plastic.

Will do. Anyone know if there are any good pale ales that can be made with harvested San Diego Super Yeast?

    Force carbonation with plastic.

I have been reading into forced carbonation recently and I noticed that it is only done with kegs. Hypothetically, if I were to make a 2.5 or 3 gallon batch of beer in a 6.5 gallon plastic bucket, could I force carbonate this way? With pressure being the way it is, I was thinking about putting a...

    Pumpkin Ale Won't Carb

Ok, I'll just throw it in the closet and let it be for another month. Will adding the carb tabs after I opened the bottle just reset the c02 process or double it?

    Pumpkin Ale Won't Carb

I used 100 percent pumpkin from a can. I also used gelatin and this is the first time I've ever cold crashed after bottling. I did re-edit it one of my posts above.

    Pumpkin Ale Won't Carb

I just opened the 10 carb bottle after 4 days carb and 24 hours in the fridge. Barely a pop. One thing I did after I bottled was put all 48 bottles in the fridge for 48 hours to help clear it up. Then I let all the bottles sit for 3 weeks at 72 degrees. did that kill all the yeast by doing...

    Pumpkin Ale Won't Carb

Almost 9%. San Diego Super Yeast. Caps are creating a seal. I added real pumpkin too. Maybe the pumpkin does something with carbonation. I just added 10 brewers best carb tabs 4 days ago and I think that did it. I am going to open her up soon. I wanted to leave her in the fridge for 24 hours...
