    Not sure what the temp is in the basement that I have it in is, but I'm sure it is within 60 to 70 degrees. I'll get a thermometer and check it out.

    The kit was from our local Sam's Club, so no telling how long it has sat around and in what kind of conditions. It was tap water that I used to top it off. I didn't think about it needing to be boiled. I'll put that in my notes for next time. Thank you.

    I got a 1 gallon "craft a brew" kit from my youngest, so now I can become a homebrewer! I also got a left hand brewery pint glass, a half marathon imperial point glass, 6 pack of oatmeal stout from a local brewery, a pint of banana beer and a pint of London cab.
