Danby 10.2 (DCFM289WDD) Keezer Build Thread

Hahaha, well way to go above and beyond!! I was asking out of curiosity. You dont have to trouble yourself with experiments on my part, but if its no trouble it would certainly be useful for others wanting to follow in your footsteps. Brewing folk are the best kind of folk I always say. Martin

Danby 10.2 (DCFM289WDD) Keezer Build Thread

Your work looks amazing so far! I dont think many people on the forum have though about using the SS paint before. 2 quick questions about the keezer though. I saw your picture with the 8 kegs fitting on the floor. Is it a snug fit? How much play is there between them? Was wondering if it...

    Building a kegerator this week

Well, Technically the Sanyo BC1206 kegerator will hold up to 4 cornies. However there are a couple problems. This is already a kegerator so you would have to spend mroe up front to convert it into a multi tap system. The bigger problem is that the 2 cornies that would go in the back need to...

American Pale Ale Bee Cave Brewery Haus Pale Ale

Brewed a batch of this a couple months ago (extract version). This is easily one of the best beers I have brewed. Its soo good! And many others that have tried it agree. Thanks for the recipe Ed. Im so glad i brewed a whole 10 gallons. Martin

    Keg Converted to Fermenter

Hey Clamper, Any comments on how you clean the sanke between fermentations? Seems like that is the main reason that most people dont ferment in these things.

How long will your beer last in a corny keg?

Beer from a brewery should be fermented and carbed. Its always possible that u might lose a little co2 in the transfer to your keg, but it shouldnt affect it much. And as soon as u put it back under pressure ull get that carbonation back. If you get beer from local breweries, i would ask...

    Question about beer line length

More line means more beer in the lines that is getting warm (granted it really isnt that much though). So dont go crazy w/ length. Seems 6-10 ft is about right.

    Paintball CO2 cga-320 adaptor

Theres this thread. I would read it so u dont make the same mistake he did. https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f35/diaphragm-issues-regulator-107782/

    Advice needed on regulators

Definitely be careful. My regs are left hand threaded for the high pressure ports (in from CO2 bottle and tank pressure guage), and right hand threaded for the low pressure ports (output to the keg and the output PSI guage). You might need a left handed connector.

    diaphragm issues on regulator?

Are you setting the bottle sideways as it is shown in the picture? Probably not, but I thought I'd ask since im pretty sure you should always keep the bottle upright. I heard something about the liquid CO2 gettin into the regulator and causing bad stuff to happen. Then again, it may just be...

Sanyo 4912, does it fit 1/4 size kegs?

Will not fit a half barrel keg. For sure. Not even a quarter barrel (not deep enough). You might have a chance of getting two sixth barrels in there side by side. And you can def get one slim quarter in there, however you might need a low profile sanke coupler. Sanyo 4912s are primarily for...

    Perlick Faucets... Necessary???

Not "necessary". But definitely worth the extra money. Everyone who hasn't started out with a perlick and and converted has never looked back and been much happier for the switch. I say just get the perlicks

About too buy this... but I'm scared...

If you want to continue using that regulator, you will need to buy a new regulator valve stem (left hand thread) and a valve nut. #K203 and #K205 in the website below. Oh and also a cheap nylon washer. NORTHERN BREWER: Regulator Repair Parts

    perlick 425S vs. 425SS

They are both forward sealing. I think the one with the plastic tip is meant for wine? Could be wrong. In any case, the all stainless will look better.

Permanently marking glass carboy for each gallon?

Someone on the forum posted recently that they used a sharpie mark, let it dry, and then painted over it with clear nail polish. Havent tried it yet, but i think this is definitely cheap and easy. Not as cool as etching though, but I didnt wanna spend $20 on a bottle of that stuff. Ill...

    Built an immersion chiller today

I think in Bobby_Ms instructional video, he uses hose to barb connectors made out of brass. You can actually fit 3/8 copper tubing INSIDE a 1/2 barb. It fits perfectly and you can solder it on. I did this exact thing with my wort chiller and am happy i dont have to use hose clamps and and...

    Bloody Kegerator!

Haha, talk about horror stories. I can just imagine the Psycho music in the background when you saw your fridge covered in blood.

About to begin my kegerator... Qs on regulator and couplers

+1 on perlicks. They cost twice as much, but it is well worth the frustration you avoid with a sticky faucet

    Exterior keg cleaning tips?

A rag soaked in paint thinner is great for removing sticky residue. Just soak the rag and leave it on the affected area for 3-5 minutes. Then just scrape off (I like using a putty knife).
