Amount of ingredients has to be precise to get the maximum out of it not accidental taste, this is my opinion but you need an advice of more pro brewers here.

I actually haven't even tasted a beer with chocolate overtone but believe it is quite interesting taste. So go ahead do it, you will see and taste what will come out of it.
