Why not put a spigot in it and use it?

So I made up a 1 gallon batch of this today, I added some corn sugar to increase the OG a little. My concern is that I may have overdone the sugar a bit. About 3 hours after pitching and shaking to aerate, I have about 1/4 inch of stuff at the bottom of the bottle. I can only assume it's sugar...
