Can anyone share their grain bill. I've been looking through the thread but there's just so much info lol.

My thought as well. US05 tends to throw strong peach flavors for me.

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

Finally nailed this one thanks to you kind folks! Skipped the DH during active fermentation, waited till I hit terminal gravity. Lovely beer. Thanks all! PS: The Yakima valley hops lupomax stuff is great! Went with citra and mosiac in equal portion.

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

That looks amazing. Thank you for sharing man! Going to try it today! After my last disaster I'm looking forward to filling some kegs! Question for you guys: I'm doing a 10g batch. How much whirlpool hops would you recommend? I'm thinking 8oz WP and 10oz for DH'ing. Thoughts?

    Spike Solo Owner's Thread

I'm about 6 brews in on the solo 20g. I cannot for the life of me break 63% mash efficiency. I've tried everything, 10 min rest, stirring every 10 minutes, faster/slow recirc, crushed all the way down to .35. I don't get it.

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

Had to dump my batch. Insane hop burn and fusil alcohol taste. I followed the advice of members here and cold crashed for 4 days at 36f to see if it helped. No luck. Shame, and it was a 10g batch :( I'm not sure what happened, but I'm pretty sure I won't ever dry hop that early again. This is...

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

Question for you guys. I followed OP's advice and did a single dry hop on day 3 at high krausen. It's now day 7 and I believe I'm close to final gravity at 1.012. I tasted a the gravity sample and it tasted extremely bitter and "hot". Like it burned my tongue. Yeast used was cellar science...

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

Brewed this one saturday 1/30/21. 10g batch size, 12oz in the WP (6oz Bru-1/6oz Eukanot). Dry hopping now all in with Cashmere 6oz/Eukanot 6oz. Weird hop combination I know but putting this here just in case someone googles "cashmere and eukanot" like I have done countless times before! Can't...

    Lallemand Verdant IPA Ale

Nah, refractometer but I am gonna get a tilt, they look cool and I'm nerdy for that kinda stuff. Also the beer has an insane hot alcohol burn in taste and smell.

    Lallemand Verdant IPA Ale

Simple pale ale, golden promise, a hair of crystal60, carapils. OG 1.056. Measured with a known good working refractometer. Fermented in SS brewbuckets @ 68f-70f throughout the 3 weeks.

    Lallemand Verdant IPA Ale

Pitched 3 packets rehydrated into 2 5g fermenters. Been 3 weeks now and it's stuck at 1.024 for a week... Fail.

Plinian Legacy (Northern Brewer Pliny the Elder clone) dry hop schedule

Touche! You are right man, that is the one thing that keeps going through my head. I need to read up on BIAB.

Plinian Legacy (Northern Brewer Pliny the Elder clone) dry hop schedule

In case anyone comes across this I'd like to thrown out my experience with this kit. I went super crazy/lazy with this one lol. No secondary and both rounds of dry hop at once!:ban: I went 4 weeks in primary then dry hopped both rounds at once! :rockin: Dry hopped for 4 days then to keg...

American Pale Ale 15 Minute Cascade Pale Ale

I have made this 3 times now. My second attempt came out super weak..Not sure what happened. The OG was :1.055 FG : 1.024..::( Did my yeast stall out? I'm calling it a super session beer! It's still damn tasty. Everytime I have used Cascade for the brew and 2oz Citra for the dry hop. It's so...

American Pale Ale 15 Minute Cascade Pale Ale

UPDATE: This one came out great. Girlfriend and I drank damn near the whole freaking batch (5g):mug:! Was great 7 days after bottling. Another friend who is crazy about PA's and IPA's said it was the one of the best he's tasted. I pitched US-05, I dry hopped with 1oz Citra, then cold crashed...

American Pale Ale 15 Minute Cascade Pale Ale

Brewed this one last night. Followed OP's recipe as close as I could. I used some citra and cascade instead of all cascade. OG = 1.060 Pitched US-05

    Graff (Malty, slightly hopped cider)

Okay. So after almost 4 weeks in the bottle I tried another. Much better. Way more mellow. Enjoyable finally!:ban::mug:

    Graff (Malty, slightly hopped cider)

This was organic publix juice and was the only juice I could find that did not have A. Acid listed. I used Notty yeast. Fermented at 65F in my converted chest freezer.

    Graff (Malty, slightly hopped cider)

Followed the original recipe exactly. Had the exact same OG and FG. It's been bottled for about 12 days now. I decided to crack one open and see what it was like. Super, super, sour. Tasted clean enough, but my goodness it is hella sour. I think back sweetening would take care of this, but I am...
