anyone know anything about wheat beers?

I'm not doubting your advice, but I though that was the whole point of a slap pack. It's supposed to have the starter in there. worst case scenario, I suppose I ca go buy another pack of yeast and try again.

Iwas told to boil it for an hour and a half, I did not steep any grains and I put 2 gallons of spring water in before I put in the 2 gallons of wort and poured another gallon of water on top, then I aerated the wort for about 10 mins and pitched the yeast.

Gravity reading not what I expected

JUST OUT OF CURIOSITY, WHY NOT JUST BOTTLE ONE BOTTLE AND LET THE REST SIT FOR A WHILE AND SEE WHAT HAPPNS? MAKE SURE YOU PUT THAT BOTTLE SOMWHERE IT WON'T DO ANY DAMAGE THOUGH. i'M JUST GUESSING, BUT IT WOULD SEEM THAT IF THAT BOTTLE DOESN'T GO OFF IN FOUR OR FIVE DAYS IT PROBABLY WON'T, RIGHT?

I have a question about gravity

Well, it's official. I'm an idiot. I figured out why my gravity reading was so off. I was doing a partial boil, so when I took my reading, I took it from the two gallons that were in the wort pot. I failed to tak a reading after I added it to the other three gallons of water in the carboy. Duh!

I suppose you can, it just seems that if you use a bag or something, it migh be kind of hard to get it back out of the carboy.
