    Brewing up a Linthwaite Light

I have absolutely no idea what to expect from this beer (it was a random selection in the homebrew shop) but I have prepared the kit and it should now be starting to ferment. Full details on my blog here: http://bellsbeer.wordpress.com/2008/02/13/brewing-up-a-linthwaite-light/ Starting my...

    Munton's IPA Bottling day details.

I do like this idea, but I just don't have the room for another big bucket. I would if the beer would taste much better, but I think its just a convenience thing isn't it? (plus a chance to mess up the beer by aerating it) Thanks

    Latest IPA status

For anyone interested in the progress of the Munton's IPA... Straight from the blog: With the prospect of some time on Sunday where I might be able to bottle the Munton’s IPA , I decided it was time to take a hydrometer reading. I still don’t have a trial jar, though I hope to get one from...

    Label Removal Experiment

I will certainly be giving the milk label the sniff test, but the consensus does seem to be that it won't smell.

    Label Removal Experiment

Revvy, the poster (which Im really happy with) was as idea I had after realising how scruffy the walls looked before I started. I knew I couldn't paint them as I'd have to wait a long time for the paint to dry and the smell to go away. I was really pleased to find a poster I thought would look...

    Label Removal Experiment

I have decided to put labels on my beer to identify them, as well as making them look good. I want to minimise the effort to remove them, while having them look as good as possible when they are on. Having researched labels on this forum and the rest of the web I have decided to conduct a...

First Time Brewer - Request to read blog

Thanks for the reply. I am from Southampton, UK. Munton's instructions are very simple but seem ok, except for saying bottle after 7 or 8 days which seems way to early. I didn't receive my Hydrometer until 3 or 4 days into the fermentation, so I didn't have that option. I'm not overly fussed...

First Time Brewer - Request to read blog

Hi all, I am knew to the work of Home Brewing, and am currently 6 days into my first attempt. I have decided to blog my progress, partly as a record for myself of what I did, so that I might make changes and improve on it in the future, but also for others to read. It would be tremendously...
