Irish Red Ale Raging Red Irish Red Ale

I totally agree; I used wildflower honey, and I definitely got a floral essence in the background which was very pleasant. Otherwise, you won't notice it.

    Ordinary Bitter Boddington's Bitter

Enjoy! English ales are so damn good at least in my opinion. There is some good info in this thread if you haven't had a chance to look over it all. Also Ron Pattinsons site is a gold mine for good english ales. The link to his site should bring up a bunch of bodds recipes.

Poll: Do you have, or plan to get, an electric car?

    That's a great point.

Poll: Do you have, or plan to get, an electric car?

That sounds like the perfect project for the innovators out there.

Poll: Do you have, or plan to get, an electric car?

Yeah, but I'm guessing that's because there is no infrastructure and California is always expensive as hell anyways.

Poll: Do you have, or plan to get, an electric car?

I saw Toyota has a great hydrogen engine design and you don't need a battery. To little to late possibly? Electric has started to take hold. Tech News World link

I wonder what would happen if....

You buy the fridge first then convert to kegerator. Covert ops.

    What Didn’t Get Delivered Today?

Sorry to hear that. I wouldn't pay that exorbitant fee either. Almost sounds like they made it up. At least you have supplies to brew with still. Happy brewing despite the slight setback! :bigmug:

All NEIPA recipes taste the same

Yes, mash pH changes throughout the mashing process, but most of the conversion is done in the first ~20 minutes or so. John Palmer in HTB 4e suggests taking a sample of mash pH 5-10 minutes into the mash (pg. 341) as we generally care about mash pH during conversion. It's better to check pH...

All NEIPA recipes taste the same

Maybe you are lucky that you can't necessarily tell. I can definitely tell the difference when different hops are used. I'm very sensitive to different hops, and some I absolutely do not like.

What did I order while drinking...

Sounds like you have quite a few brews in your future! Brew on lol. I am also subject to this phenomenon when I've had a few too many adult beverages. :bigmug:

    Why do people Quit brewing?

I haven't brewed for 8 or 9 months. I don't plan on leaving the hobby it's just that going back for a second degree is keeping me a bit busy these days. I will come back with a vengeance when the time is right though!

    blasphemus beer blending?

Nothing new regarding blending. Isn't the original New Castle Brown Ale the result of blending two different beers?

This Can't Be Good: Last Call At Another Notable Brewery

Monster Energy acquired them not to awful long ago, I believe last year. Still though looks like the market is retracting.

    I am new.

Welcome, this is a great community of brewers! Lots of good information here.

Starlink - anybody finding this the best internet solution for where you're located?

Yeah, they love it still. They stream movies and all kinds of stuff. The receiver has a warming feature that keeps snow melted off of the unit also. For an area without access to comcast cable or something similar it's the next best thing in my opinion. They haven't had any problems with it...

    R.I.P. @Bracconiere

I had this exchange a while back and thought I'd share. Bracc was cracking a joke about my tilt hydrometer fermentation curve being jenky lol. He will be missed.
