    Hello all, A friend of mine gave me a 4lb can of Cooper's lager (pre-hopped) liquid malt extract (LME). I am not a big fan of lager, and I don't have the yeast or cooling equipment to make a real lager. I'm guessing this Cooper's can is just a basic light LME with some unknown bittering hops...

    Muntons Bock Beer - Steeping Malted Grains?

    Thanks wonderbread23. For the heck of it, I might steep about 2lbs of malted barley and add 1lb of sugar. I like drier beer... and I have no idea how this "kit" will come out... so half the sugar (the rest steeping) sounds like a compromise.
