I've never had to use a blow off tube until today when I got home from work. The lid on the fermenter is bulging and lots of pressure. What's the odds of the lid popping off??
I have been doing all extract brews. I want to get into all grain. Midwest supplies has an all grain starter kit. Is that everything I need to start all grain batches??
I just brewed a holiday ale. The orginal gravity was supposed to be between 1.062 and 1.066. Took my reading and it was 1.070. Will that be a problem??
I have a American Wheat fermenting right now. The temp in the house is 70 but the temp on the primary is 73-75 degrees. I am using Danstar Nottingham yeast. Is this going to affect the taste???
I am about to be brewing a pumpkin ale using canned pumpkin. Ive heard to put it in and steep with grains, or put it in during the boil. First time brewing a pumpkin ale so any help would be appreciated!!!:ban:
I just ordered the Happy Holiday Ale from Midwest Supplies. If I get it brewed by the end of July would it be ready for the holidays?? Also how long do I keep it in the primary and secondary?? And how long to let them bottle before cracking one open.
Does anyone have any suggestions on removing labels from heineken bottles. I can get the label off but it leaves glue residue. I know they are green bottles, but just want them for extra bottles.
Why are some of my bottles carbonated more then others. I had one last night and carbonation was great. Went to crack open another one tonight and this one had no carbonation at all. This batch has been in the bottles for about 2 weeks now.
Im pretty sure that I have a infection in my beer. Got white spots floating on the top and they keep multiplying. I tasted the beer and it tastes good to me. My question is, is it okay to bottle before the infection grows bigger??
I went to transfer my beer from the primary fermenter into a secondary glass carboy, only to find out there was a fly that was in the fermenter. Do you think thats going to ruin my beer?? I tried it and it tasted good to me.
