    Help w/ kegerator question!! thanks!

I'm planning on purchasing a dual tap kegco k309 kegerator. Does anyone have one or something similar? How do you like it? Also, I'm looking into a couple of NEW ball lock corny kegs. I've got my eye on the Draft Brewer Flex Keg System from Northern (or Midwest) and it comes with a double...

    Help selecting kegs...

I plan on getting a couple corny kegs. I've seen some with a metal strap handle and some w/ rubber handles. Can i assume the only advantage to the latter is to protect everything on the top of the keg in case of a drop? thanks!

I want to keg. What do I buy?!

I'm hoping some of you can provide me with some recommendations on keg systems. I'm looking into a 2 handle system. Are there any great all-in-one deals people have gotten (kegerator/kegs/CO2 tank/gas lines, etc.)? Good brands? Brands to stay away from? Good websites to check out? Thanks...

    FG too high??

Made a smoked maple porter and thought I was gonna bottle today, however, my FG is 1.024! My OG was 1.076. This is a partial grain recipe. I added the maple just after initial fermentation ceased/airlock calmed down. It's been in primary for 20 days and stayed at about 72 degrees throughout...

    Help w/ Maple Porter!

Going to try brewing a smoked maple porter. I need advice as to how much maple (using grade B) syrup to use and WHEN. I've read some very mixed reviews. Some say to use throughout boil, then some say this will negate the maple flavor. Can I add at say, 5 mtfo?? Or mix in before pitching? Or...

Please help w/ my smoked porter??

I'm doing a partial grain smoked porter and I'm wondering what percentage of the grain bill you'd recommend using for the Rauch malt. I'll be steeping the grains (i'm not at ag yet) for 45min-1hr. I'm using 1lb caramel wheat, 8oz blk patent and 8oz choc malt. I bought 2lbs of the Rauch, but...

    To strain or not??

I'm attempting a "Christmas flavored" stout and will be adding things like cinnamon sticks, ginger root and so on. Do these things get strained before adding to my fermenter, or do they stay in during fermentation?? I will not be transferring to a secondary. Also, what is the "recommended"...

    Add during "late boil"???

I've brewed about 6-7 batches thus far, so still new to the game. I'm going to be making a stout from a recipe I found and it says to add 2 row brewers malt and molasses during "late boil". How late in the boil should this be?? 10-15 MTFO??

Just started a batch of beer that calls for vanilla extract. I have some, but not enough. However, I DO have 1 bean. I'm thinking of just combining the two to get the right flavor, but what is the preferred method of using whole bean vanilla? I've never used it in a brew. Would i cut it and...

Will this work for a Belgian Wit??

I'm trying to piece together an extract recipe (haven't ventured into all grain yet) that I can call my "own", but I'm coming up with a lot of questions... 1. For LME, should I stick with wheat for the whole batch, or maybe use half pilsner? Good/bad idea? 2. I read where unmalted wheat...
