Nukatap Flow Control Faucets - Nukatap Shanks required?

I recently replaced all my older faucets with Nukataps...five out of the six fit on older shanks perfectly, one leaked like crazy. Swapping the faucets, it was definitely the one shank that was the issue. It was time to replace it with a tail-less version anyway to upgrade to better lines.

I ran out of CO2, what now?

If you can get explicit food grade CO2, that's awesome. If you just get generic CO2, it will probably be just fine. I live in Gabon, and the only CO2 provider is an industrial gas mixer that mostly supplies oxygen for hospitals and offshore oil rigs, and they'd laugh if I asked for food grade...

Keg Cop: Keg Monitoring and Control

So I'm actually a little confused at this point. How are rpints and kegcop supposed to talk to each other? I see in the kegcop configuration that under url, it's pre-configured for rpints.local. But then there's also the Raspberry pints section that looks like it's for Mqtt style...

Keg Cop: Keg Monitoring and Control

Just got the basics set up; kegcop standalone is working fantastic. I'm still waiting for my relay to show up so that I can hand control of the kegerator temp control over, but the flowmeters and temp sensors are working great! Thanks as well for the .stl files for the cases...they fit...

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

Is rpints.com down for anyone else? I'm getting a 403 forbidden error when I try to hit it. Edit...doesn't matter...the curl command still works from github.

Keg Cop: Keg Monitoring and Control

Parts finally arrived (at least enough to do the basics), and I soldered everything together and got the interface up, so I'll be playing with this over the weekend. I need to rebuild a rpints instance, and I'm converting the kegerator over to quick disconnects at the same time, so hopefully...

TiltBridge - Tilt-to-WiFi Device for Tilt Hydrometer

The best workaround I've found so far is to let autodiscovery pick up the temperature sensor, and then define the SG sensor manually using YAML. Here's the snippet I'm using: - platform: mqtt state_topic: "tiltbridge/tilt_Blue" value_template: "{{ value_json.SG }}" name...

TiltBridge - Tilt-to-WiFi Device for Tilt Hydrometer

Good afternoon all, So I've built a TB, and it's working VERY well. I've got it sending data to both Brewfather and Home Assistant via MQTT. HA picks up the temperature sensor automatically, but so far I haven't gotten it to pick up the SG data. Using an MQTT explorer I can see that the data...

What are you paying to refill/exchange 10# co2 tanks?

Just paid the equivalent of $116.00 for a 20 pound tank refill in Libreville, Gabon from Air Liquide. They didn't want to refill my aluminum tank, and I had to argue for a while about that, plus it took 3 weeks because they were waiting for a shipment of CO2 to arrive from their plant in the...

Keg Cop: Keg Monitoring and Control

Just ordered all the parts for this; thanks for making the Mouser links to the projects...saved a ton of time. Looking forward to getting this going. I'd been using the flowmeters connected directly to Raspberry Pints, but this seems like a more elegant solution long term.

    "Desert Island" supply stock up?

Good ideas all! The ideas of big buckets for grain are great...weevils will definitely be a problem, so that's something I need to address. Sanitizing solution, PBW, etc, check. Hadn't thought about reusing yeast..that's a good idea as well, and I need to do some learning on that. The hop...

    "Desert Island" supply stock up?

Morning all, I'm finding myself in a unique situation. I've taken an assignment with my employer for a two year posting in a country in West Africa. There are no homebrew shops available, and the only local beer is a generic fizzy yellow lager. I'm bringing my brewing and serving equipment...

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

Heya RandR+, I found a similar issue with the screensaver a while back under a fresh install. I mentioned it a few weeks ago, but it could have easily been overlooked....review this post if you want. [Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

Lol, I should have known that this was an already solved problem. Seems like the load cell solution might be the more "fun" project, but the Plaato is very tempting for simplicity. I can see easily adding an "extra" tap that would contain the CO2 tank, but if there was some way to track it as...

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

Ok, here's a bit of an "out there" feature request. I just upgraded from a 5# co2 tank to a 20# one...I'm thinking it would be nice to have the tank sitting on some sort of load cell platform connected to either the pi, or the Arduino. Use cases besides the obvious tracking the remaining...

BIAB vs. Brewing with Mash Tun, Hot Liquor Tank, Sparging etc.

Hi Slogger, I started out brewing in college with buckets of extract, and once I bought I house, like a poster above, I moved to a MoreBeer TippyDump 3 vessel system. It served me well for a while, and I enjoyed the process, but after a couple of long distance moves I quickly downsized to a...

Arduino Keg Sensor for Level, Temperature, and Pressure with Display

I'd be happy to beta test as well. I've got a 3D printer, and am comfortable with soldering electronics, so I'd be happy to assemble a kit.

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

I used the update button in the admin panel...I hit the one to check for updates, and then also hit the one that said "update". Not sure if those duplicate functionality, but yeah, super easy to fix. I was going to use phpadmin to do it, but you just showed me a more efficient method...thanks!
