    John Guest vs. Stainless steel

    Anyone have any reviews on John Guest valves? I'm going to be making a new 5 gallon cooler mash tun and wanted some input on John Guest vs. stainless steel/other. Also, can I use brass?

    Is Beer Smith wrong about IBU's or is it me?

    I went on "beer smith" and got the peffercorn saison recipe, got all ingredients, and brewed. After closing up the fermenter, I decided to calculate the IBU's. Well, the target was 29 and I calculated 11. (I got the calculation from my "brewme" app). Should I be concerned with this? If so...
