    Who's smoking meat this weekend?

I did not get the WiFi one. I just did not see the value in it. If I do a long smoke like a pork butt it would be over night and right outside the back door. If I had a case where I would frequently be leaving the house during a smoke then maybe I could see the cost. I found it to be a great...

    Who's smoking meat this weekend?

Purchased a new smoker this week! A Green Mountain Grill - Daniel Boone I cooked bacon on it this morning and it was wonderful. We all agreed doing it in the oven was messy and was only as half as good as doing it on the smoker. Right now I have a slab of ribs going at 220 with a fruit wood...

Thanks for the 311.. I have read several pages on the 321 and thye all said it falls off the bone with no effort. That's not something I want. But with this being my first I was just going to follow the standard. Will go with the 311 to try. thank you

    Beekeeping 101

Dad raised bees for a few years. I was under 10 at the time. Great memories of extracting the honey and my teachers anticipating the gift of honey. A few requested non filtered so chunks of wax was suspended in the sweetness. I'm surprised how much I can remember of his hobby's.

Golden road sold to AB InBev

We had a local brewer just link the men's journal of the list. This was my reply I have to disagree with some of those on the list. They where not created by the big guys to fool the public. Instead it they where acquired after making a name for themselves. In those cases most (not all) of...

    Fitbit Flex

They did away with the stairs thing with the new Alta. I guess just ridding in an elevator counted at stairs. Moving your arms does count as steps though. I shoveled a few loads of #2 stone after work and my Alta started buzzing like crazy. I had reached my 5 mile goal!

    Fitbit Flex

I just received the fitbit Alta. So far in the hour I have worn it I can say its very comfortable and lightweight. Set up menus are a bit scattered as there is no step by step format.

What came in the mail for you today?

Me and the wife share March as birthday month. We got each other fitbits. We got the new Alta's from amazon. (by saying "we" got each other this gift I mean I ordered them off amazon...I pay that bill. I think I may have got the short end of the stick on this one.) Its my first experience with...

    My Weldless Build Using Strut

If I remember right I got the Pre-galvanized stiff. A few pieces are the green pained ones I found hiding in the corners at work. I am not concerned about the steel being weathered because it will only be outside wile I am brewing.

    My Weldless Build Using Strut

I got all the bits and pieces from http://www.strutchannelfittings.com/ The actual strut I got from a plumbing supply house. I don't recall how much a stick cost but it only came in 21' lengths. Menards actually has a good selection also.
