If you are around Charlottesville, skip Starr Hill, its widely considered the worst brewery in the area by the locals. Blue Mountain Brewery and Devils Backbone are far superior in beer taste as well as brewery experience. (Starr hill=warehouse)

Ended up taking 3.5 hours from start to finish, definitely made some simple mistakes that made it take longer, will certainly be around 2.5 hours next time!

My kit from Midwest supplies will finally be in today, I got the Autumn Amber Ale (extract). Any idea on the amount of time I should allow myself for brew day? Am I foolish to try an start tonight around 7?

Excellent reads....I think that for the recipe that I have in mind (for the wedding, I plan on sticking to the kits verbatim for my first few batches before trying to add anything) I will absolutely be using a secondary, so I suppose that would be another benefit of the NB kit...
