    Does CO2 go bad?

    I have a friend who is giving me some CO2 that has sat around for what he thinks is about 8 years. Is there any concern that it could go "bad" or give kegged beer an off flavor due to its age?

    BIAB, under the bag hopping

    I've been thinking of trying putting hops under the BIAB bag while mashing and leaving them there through the boil to see what happens. I think of this idea as somewhere between mash hopping and first wort hops. I'd think worst case it would be about the same as FWH, but perhaps I'll gain...

    Tettnanger AA???

    Brewing tonight, boil is going (90 minute). Guy at the LHBS hand labelled the Tattnanger hops at an AA of 7.1%. Seems high- I adjusted the recipe, but does that sound right? I think it should be in the 3.5-5.0 range.
