Beer Snob ? Or just particular

So, I've been home brewing beer now for only a few months, I've made maybe 7 23L batches in that time some ready to drink some aren't. What I found very interesting is that I've just gone and picked up a 6 pack of my fav beer Coopers Pale ale and found it a touch bland to see the least. I'm...

St Peter's "Golden Ale" extract kit -- hopped or unhopped syrup?

Ive done a few Muntons kits, all the extracts have been hopped. I would also suggest you make it as instructed if its your first one. I say this only because its a great confidence booster to have a great beer when it's your first attempt. Muntons make an excellent extract kit. BOL

    Brew swapping Etiquette.

So just an update on this one gents, I was around my mates place this weekend and we got to talking about his brew and in particular how we both went about cleaning out our bottles. Brew swapping Etiquette.

Yes we all have picked up the same soapy taste in his beer, one guy did try to approach it with a little humor mentioning that it did taste soapy, but he didn't take well to that. I'm not sure he can pick it up, he has had several of the other guys beer's I'm assuming that he may be chalking...

    Brew swapping Etiquette.

Dear Doctor Phil :pipe: So I'm fairly new to brewing myself, but not Home Brew, I have several friends who are brewer's and have been for years. Occasionally we swap Brew's between ourselves, sometimes for comparison other times just for the hell of it or to return the favor. I always...

    Lagering times and priming.

Hey all, I've got a kit lager that's current conditioning in the fridge at 5.C. It's in the secondary at the mo, and been in it for around 3 weeks now, FG was 1010 when I racked it. My question is how long do I leave it ? And how do I prime it for bottling ? Do I need to mix the dex with yeast...
