    Stupid Joke Thread!

I'm not saying I'm old... but when I was in school, we made ashtrays for our parents in art class.

    Stupid Joke Thread!

Remember when you used to tell your parents you were sleeping over at a friend's house but actually you were dying from alcohol poisoning in a field. Those were good times...

    Grains all over the floor

If I ever have a brew day that goes perfect, I probably wouldn't be able to sleep that night wondering what I missed.

For Sale Electric Brewery & Supplies $3,500 Alabama

@brianccarr I think it is a combination of a declining market and many of those still in it moving to AIO units. Looks like some quality stuff that does NOT belong in a landfill. If only I was closer to you...

    Stupid Joke Thread!

I woke up this morning determined to drink less, eat right and exercise. But that was 4 hours ago... when I was younger and full of hope.

    Stupid Joke Thread!

People who say "go big or go home" completely underestimate my willingness to just go home.

What book is on your nightstand? Readers!

Very cool. I have seen your website you listed in a different post. Good stuff. I haven't actually been able to play in years but back in the day, our group got pretty nerdy with it - we strictly played first edition only but wrote a bunch of VB apps to automate alot of the processes (randoms...

What book is on your nightstand? Readers!

Free Book. Aug 21-25 Only... 3 years ago I wrote a book, mostly just because I wanted to say I did. Think D&D with lots of beer. I was pretty happy with it but as I started to work on book 2, I developed a new writing style that I was much happier with. So, I took a break from book 2 and...

    New Wort Chiller?

ok, last question(s). 1) do you know how cold the glycol gets coming out of your diy chiller, and 2) how long does the unit need to run before getting down to that temp?

    New Wort Chiller?

for chilling wort, do you pump the glycol through a counterflow chiller or through an immersion chiller?

    New Wort Chiller?

I'm sure there are several on these forums but was there a specific set of instructions on here that you followed to build yours?

    New Wort Chiller?

I had considered glycol but not sure that I'm ready to drop that much cash considering I'd only use it for cooling wort 10 or so times per year

    New Wort Chiller?

I have tried a similar approach as well and seemed to work better than any other solution (given my setup) so will probably just go back to that. Instead of an IC in line, I had an aquarium pump in line and would drop it into a bucket of ice water and switch to that once the wort got down to...

    New Wort Chiller?

Ok, it's time to blow a little hard-earned cash on some type of brewing gear and I'm thinking an upgraded wort chiller. Not a big fan of immersion nor plate chillers. Counterflow chillers just seem easier. I currently brew on a Brewzilla Gen 4 35L and use the built in pump to send the wort...

    Brewzilla Gen4 Discussion/Tips Talk

^ That's what I do as well. BIAB bag outside the malt pipe. I had tried it inside the malt pipe but found that outside works easier and no snags when stirring the mash with your implement of choice. Probably not needed for all brews but it's peace of mind of knowing there will be no clogged pump...
