    How long do you guys bottle condition for it to start tasting real good? Its drinkable now but it def has room to improve on. Its the middle thats lacking. The end is the fruit (I wish I had did the lactose step due to tartness).

    Just put mines in bottles. I added 4lbs of peaches to it. I tasted it and the peaches seem to have taken over. Now the two week wait is on.

    Guys make sure to check your labels on the concentrate because the one I added had preservatives and killed my yeast. So that explains why my cider never carb'ed up. Its still good though and everyone likes it. Oh well you live and you learn.

    Has anyone had slow carbing? Its been over a week and I'm still left with still cider. Its great but I would like it carb'ed. I used 5 cans of Frozen Apple Juice Concentrate along with some dextrose. Still nothing.

    Ok just brewed this last night. I changed up the recipe a little by adding 1lb of honey malt and using wheat DME. OG came out to 1.070. Will prob let this sit for two weeks and then rack on 8-10lbs of strawberries with .5-1lb of lactose for 10 days. Then rack again to clear for two weeks...

    Yea thats what I meant. It was brought up to me in another thread. Thats where it is though. I will back sweeten it to try to make it less dry with a nonfermentable suger because ide like to sparkle it. My fear is if I put the campden tabs that I will lose that aspect.

    Just started this mead. I must say that I enjoyed drinking my sample that I took my og reading with. I just used the smack pack. Should I still add some more yeast nutrients, if so when and how much?
