Looking for some ideas on adding hops to an extract brew.I have fresh fuggles,topaz and stella hops.I also have challenger pellets.I was thinking of doing a bitter or lager kit.I know how to do a 10min hop tea boil.Apart from that Im at a loss.I live in the uk,so things like NB extract not...

Sorry Bosco,I dont know what an IBU is.Is it something to do with hop content put in buy coopers?

Just been given a coopers cerveza kit along with some no 2 enhancer.Any ideas how I could improve on this kit? I have some hops I could do a tea with?or maybee add some extra dme?Havnt done any grains yet/dont understand how to steep etc.

So how would you sugest improving on a better brew IPA extract kit?I would always add 500g muntons DME and I use demarara sugar on the ales I have done in the past.what about dryhopping?

Hello fellow searchers of the perfect brew.Im going to do a better brew ipa next,but was thinking of doing a hop tea with some challenger pellets.I also have some stella and topaz hops that I could introduce.Never used hops before so a bit unsue.Any ideas welcome.

Thanks,they are plastic.Think I might do a lager extract in one,and a stout in the other.Thing is all the kits ive made before are based around an end product of 23litres,these are 19.will it make any difference to the taste etc?

I have just got hold of a couple of 19litre carboys.How do I go about doing an extract brew in them?

Im using a two chamber type airlock,there are no bubbles since refitting.But the "exit" chamber is pushed higher than the chamber where the co2 would enterfrom the fermenter.Do you think this means it is fermenting and producing co2,but aggresive fermentation has finished?Took a hydrometer...

Thanks my man,what about if I clean and refit the airlock?I suspect that the tube on the blowoff is too big for the bung and is sqeezed in too tight.

Done a better brew kit IPA the other day and added some honey and light dme.Problem is it fermented like mad and started blowing wort through my airlock.Panic set in and I made a blow off tube,but as I fitted it to the rubber bung it started pushing the bung further into the bucket lid.I was...
