    Welding Stainless with MIG?

I used a mig welder on all my keggles, and they turned out ok. I used solid wire and shielding gas. I didn't use any back gas, so the inside looks crappy and rusted a little to begin with, but it is fine now and since none of this is in contact with cool wort I didn't worry about bad surfaces...

    Welding Question

My 2 cents on welders...I started out using a friends HF welder years ago for car stuff and furniture and found it to be very frustrating. You can never get high quality welds or any consistency with these things...you get what you pay for. I upgraded to a nice Miller unit because I continued...

    5 hour Energy

I would like to point out there there are commercial varieties of alcohol + energy drink on the market. I have tried "Tilt" and "B to the E", both Budweiser products and didn't like either. I just wanted to point out that this idea is currently commercially available....

    Counter Flow Chiller For Sale

I have a homemade counter flow chiller made from garden hose and copper tubing with soldered fittings. It is about 20' long. It works great and is pressure tested. It has never seen actual use, so it is new (made from extra copper from the first one I made). I would like $35 for it (less...

    MoreBeer Vs. AHBS

I would just like to add that I have had some very bad experiences with More Beer. One time it took 4 phone calls and 1 month to get a shipment. Additionally their web site is not up to date. Items that say they are in stock might not be....and it will take 2 days for them to tell you...

Keggle weld prices really vary in Baltimore

I mig welded my keggles. It is definitely not as nice as tig, but it gets the job done. These fittings are not exactly holding much pressure, so structurally it is no big deal, as long as they don't leak. My mig welds definitely don't look as nice as what you get with a tig weld, but I spend...

    Great customer service from MoreBeer

Wow....I just had the opposite experience with them. Placed an order. Took 3 days to tell me that one of the items that I ordered was on backorder (even though the web page showed it in stock). I called and asked to ask about it and was told that everything was in and would be shipped that...

Very few first year hops doing anything....

I have first year hops form Midwest as well, Cascade, williamette, Mt. Hood and Goldings. All are over 8ft tall now and doing well. They took over a month to break the ground, but are growing about a foot a week now. The Cascade gets the most shade, but is still almost 8 ft. I also got a...

    Bottling automation ideas

Just a note....This thread is in the DIY section....we all love gagets and things that make our brewing easier...I would love to see some postes on ideas for making something like the applied brewing device from cheep home depot parts. I don't think we need to hear any more about how easy the...
